Working as a travel nurse: Kristina’s story

Date published: January 12, 2018

At Stat Staff, we often reach out to nurses and allied health professionals to learn more about their experiences on the front lines of the healthcare industry.

Kristina stopped in on her trip to the home office, to share her experience of working with Stat Staff, both as a registered nurse and now as a recruiter.

Stat Staff is always looking for nurses and allied healthcare professionals to share their experiences.  Message us to tell your story.

Working as a travel nurse: Kristina’s story (Transcript)

"Six years ago, I started working for Stat Staff as a per diem nurse. They provided me and my family with an excellent paying job and the flexibility we needed while growing our family.

Working per diem with Stat Staff allowed me the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom while working part-time and bringing in full-time pay. Stat Staff took really good care of me and I always felt supported and proud to work here.

Last year my husband received a job offer out west, closer to family, and within days Stat Staff Professionals offered me a job to work remotely as a recruiter and nurse mentor. It was an answered prayer. I was given the opportunity to continue to work for a company that I love and directly impact his growth and success.

My passion for this company drove me to work hard to learn and develop this new skill of recruiting. Sometimes I miss working as a nurse in the field, but I enjoy finding excellent nurses to be a part of our team and I know that I'm impacting the future of healthcare."
