On May 11th, Davin Healthcare Workforce Solutions hosted its annual DAISY Award Ceremony. The Davin Healthcare team came together to honor this year’s recipient of the DAISY Foundation’s DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses®, Moe Bitar.
The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses® was established in 1999 by members of the family of Patrick Barnes. He was 33 years old and died of complications of the auto-immune disease ITP. Like many families who go through this kind of horrific loss, the Barnes family wanted to do something positive to honor the very special man Patrick was. Pat’s family created The DAISY Award® for Extraordinary Nurses. What started out as a thank you from their family to nurses has grown into a meaningful recognition program embraced by healthcare organizations around the world. We are very proud to partner with the DAISY Foundation as we have extraordinary nurses here at Davin Healthcare.
As with the previous year, Davin Healthcare took precautions and celebrated Moe virtually.

“Moe is an excellent nurse,” Kristie Hooper, Moe’s recruiter wrote of him on his nomination. “He provides great patient care and he is a team player. Moe goes above and beyond and has received recognition from facilities regarding the quality of care that he provides.”
Moe is a travel RN, and many hospitals have praised him.
“Moe is a pleasure to work with, he is great with his patients and goes above and beyond. His coworkers love working with him,” Cobleskill Regional Hospital’s ER Department said.
“Moe has done a fabulous job in his first assignment with us. He is professional, polite, patient focused and has very good skills. We are fortunate to have him for another 13 weeks!” Columbia Memorial Hospital’s ER said.
It is an honor to have Moe Bitar as a Davin Healthcare nurse. We thank him for all his work on the front lines of healthcare.
