On Saturday, September 30th, a few members of the Davin Healthcare team had the opportunity to dress up and attend the 2023 Nightingale Gala at the elegantly decorated Albany Marriot. The Nightingale Gala is an annual awards dinner hosted by the Center for Nursing Foundation of NYS Nurses. The evening started with a beautifully done cocktail hour for mingling and networking, followed by dinner and an awards ceremony. Three prestigious awards were recognized, including the Nightingale Award, Driscoll Award, and the Center for Nursing scholarship.

The 2023 Nightingale Award was presented to our colleagues at ANA-NY, who are known for promoting and enhancing the nursing profession across New York State. At the podium is the President of the Center for Nursing Foundation, Joan Madden Wilson, MA, RN, announcing the prestigious award to ANA-NY President, Marilyn Dollinger, DNS, FNP, RN, and Executive Director, Jeanine Santelli, PhD, RN, AGPCNP-BC, FAAN.

This year’s Veronica M. Driscoll Award was granted to Deborah Stamps, EdD, MBA, MS, RN, GNP, NE-BC, CDE. Dr. Stamps has worked in several different capacities within the nursing profession and is known internationally for her dedicated work in leadership, diversity, and equity.

The final award recognized was the Center for Nursing Foundation Scholarship which is awarded to an individual pursuing a degree in Nursing. To the right is the Center for Nursing’s, Joan Madden Wilson, MA, RN, announcing this year’s recipient, Gavin, who is actively studying to obtain his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at St. John’s University.

The entire Davin Healthcare team would like to thank the Center for Nursing Foundation for hosting such a dignified and well-attended event. It was great to see fellow colleagues and professionals from all over. Lastly, the team would like to congratulate the recipients of the awards. Each recipient was so well deserved and shine such light on the nursing profession.
